Practitioners

Pornography is a sensitive and challenging topic, but young people’s high level of exposure and access to pornography, as well as its impacts on young people, make it an important issue for practitioners to address in their work. It's time we talked has developed a range of resources to support practitioners who work with young people to understand and address the influence of pornography.

This free brochure is for professionals who work with young people or in policy in related areas, including youth workers, health workers, those who work with young people with harmful sexual behaviours, and other professionals working in education, health promotion, violence prevention or counselling with young people. It outlines how we can support your organisation to address the impacts of pornography.

Online training - NEW

This self-paced online course has been developed for professionals who work with young people across a wide range of sectors. The course aims to support you to understand pornography’s prevalence and nature, how it is contributing to young people’s sexual socialisation, and what you can do to support young people to safely navigate pornography’s influence.

In The Picture

In The Picture is a groundbreaking resource being used by over 400 schools and organisations around the world. It has been developed for use by anyone involved in leading or supporting schools to address health and wellbeing issues, such as school leaders, teachers, other school-based staff and staff from community organisations.

Young people, autism and the impact of porn - Professional learning

This professional learning, delivered by autism expert Dr Wenn Lawson and pornography expert Maree Crabbe, is designed to support professionals who work with autistic young people.

Staff professional learning

It’s time we talked has the resources and expertise required to support your organisation to address pornography’s influence. These include options for online training, licensing an online presentation or in-person professional learning at your organisation.

Supporting parent engagement

By engaging and educating parents, practitioners can assist parents to feel equipped to talk with their children about issues such as respect, consent and pornography. Learn more about how your organisation can support parent engagement.

Documentary films

We have produced two broadcast documentary films featuring compelling interviews with young people and participants from the international porn industry. Some schools use these films for parent or senior student education. Note that these films are both rated MA15+ and are not suitable for use with young people.

Resource bundles for practitioners

Our resource bundles offer practitioners the opportunity to purchase multiple resources at a discounted rate.
