It’s time we talked’s training about pornography, young people and sexuality draws on an extensive, global evidence base and our many years of work on the issues. It builds on the live, in-person training that we have delivered to many thousands of professionals from a wide range of sectors in countries around the world. We are thrilled to launch this updated and expanded training in an online format, to complete at your own pace, at times and locations that are convenient to you.
The training aims to support you to understand pornography’s prevalence and nature, how pornography is contributing to young people’s sexual socialisation, and what you can do to support young people to safely navigate pornography’s influence.
The course provides expert analysis and guidance on the issues from Maree Crabbe. It includes over 11 hours of video lessons and downloadable supporting resources. It also features footage from our interviews with young people, experts and pornography industry professionals, which provide powerful and compelling insights into this challenging but important issue.
The training is comprised of eight main modules. Several modules include multiple submodules, each of which explores a different aspect of the main module theme. Each module includes:
● A downloadable handout with slides and references
● A video lesson with the main content for that module
● At least one set of questions to support reflection on the themes explored in that module
● A short quiz to help you recall some of the key information in that module.
The course takes approximately 17 hours to complete, including time for reflection and completion of the quizzes. For $275, you will receive 90-day access to all course materials. Please note that this price is for a single user. If you are interested in prices for bulk registrations, please see the information below.
It’s time we talked interviewed Professor Simon Hackett, a global expert on children’s harmful sexual behaviour, and other international experts. Excerpts from those interviews are now included in an updated module on pornography and harmful sexual behaviours in the online course.
