Welcome to It’s time we talked’s training on pornography, young people and sexuality.
Our training aims to support you to understand pornography’s prevalence and nature, how pornography is contributing to young people’s sexual socialisation and what you can do to support young people to safely navigate pornography’s influence.
The training has been designed for people who work with young people from a wide range of sectors, to complete online at their own pace. We encourage you to take breaks as needed.
The course is comprised of eight modules, with each module including:
● A handout with slides and references
● A video with the main content for that module
● At least one set of questions to support reflection on the themes explored in that module
● A quiz to help you recall some of the key information in that module. This applies for all modules except Module 1.
To learn more about what you can expect from the training, download the course outline and technical instructions handout that follows, then watch the 13 minute introduction video. Please also complete and submit the short pre-course evaluation questionnaire.

Each submodule will have a handout to download and a video lesson to watch as well as questions for reflection and a short quiz.
Module 4 includes some of the more confronting content in this training, so we encourage you to take breaks and use the opportunities for reflection.
At times you may also find it valuable to remind yourself that there is good reason to learn about the nature of contemporary pornography: because in order to understand how porn is influencing and impacting young people, we first need to understand what they’re seeing.

The content explored in this module is the central piece of this training. In this module we will explore the role that pornography is playing in young people’s sexual socialisation.

Again, this module includes some confronting content, so please take breaks as you need them.
